About Heather
Many, many years ago, Heather said goodbye to her home state of Oklahoma to follow her dreams in Hollywood!
Since then, she’s been hovering on the cusp of stardom waiting for her close up. During that time, she racked up a couple of Emmy Awards as a journalist, comedian and TV host. She also created the Webby Award-winning podcast, Motherhood in Hollywood (seriously, you should check it out!) And now co-hosts the Brooker Family POPcast with her husband Chris and daughter Channing.
She’s appeared in over 40 films and TV shows including “Grey’s Anatomy,” “The Office,” “Fresh Off The Boat,” “The Mindy Project” and more. Heather was in the unprecedented role of digital entertainment reporter for KNBC in Los Angeles, where she regularly interviewed celebrities and other luminaries in Hollywood.
On Motherhood in Hollywood, Heather discusses her two passions — parenting and show business — and has a hilariously addicting, tell-it-like-it-is personality. In the 7 years since creating Motherhood in Hollywood, Heather has built a community of 1 million followers across her social media and online platforms. (Follow along…it’s fun!)
She recently spoke at the GirlUp Leadership Summit alongside Michelle Obama, Hillary Clinton and Meghan Markle about gender equity and body positivity and is passionate about empowering women to love their bodies of every shape and size.
She lives in Los Angeles with her husband Chris, 9-year-old daughter Channing, internet famous cat Gracie I Love You and cattle dobie mix Luna Lovegood.
